Buy from us and you are buying once

Our karts are hand built by the founder and creator with help from our Blastacars® Engineering team in New Zealand. Countless innovations are implemented into the kart to ensure long life of the kart and it's parts. New Zealand is a proud innovative country that takes pride in the quality of it's work. We have karts in operation at our New Zealand tracks that are over 10 years old. Unlike go kart manufacturers that expect replacement models to be purchased within a couple of years, we strive to develop a kart that will give you ongoing use and reliability

having a blast for 29 years

Inspired by his days as a speedway racer, the founder of Blastacars® Peter Zyp began working for a go kart track and noticed customers always wanted to slide and drift around the corners just like he did in his speedway racing. Instead of disciplining customers like the operators were, he wanted to embrace this need to drift and set to work to develop his first model of drift kart. He opened a small oval track in 1987 to the public and developed and refined the kart and customer experience over the years. The actual name "Blastacars" came from Peter hearing customers come off the karts exclaiming "That was a blast!". Unlike go kart manufacturers that just build karts, Peter has created and operated the tracks to get a better understanding of running and maintaining the karts and the customer experience. Peter has developed several innovative methods for track development, customer experience and the karts themselves which you can benefit from when joining the Blastacars® family. Countless hours have gone into research and development and todays Mark 7 kart is the finest example of a drift kart benefiting from 29 years of development.
