Drifting is the fastest growing motorsport in the world. It's origins stem from Japan in the 1970's and has spread globally over the last 40 years. Several countries now have their own official drift competitions where spectators crowd to watch the enthralling cat and mouse chase of high powered cars sliding around corners as plumes of smoke from the burning tyres fill the air. It's not exactly an affordable sport however. Not everyone can experience drifting without a lot of money or without taking risks to themselves, their vehicles or getting in trouble from the Police.
